BCCP (Breast and Cervical Cancer Project) - "A Woman First"
The Region 4 Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Project

The Region 4 BCCP, also known as “A Woman First”, is housed at the Fulton County Health Department. The program serves women in Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Paulding, Sandusky, Williams and Wood Counties.   Breast and cervical cancer screening services are provided at no cost to women age 40 and above who have lower incomes and are uninsured or underinsured.

If you have not had these important screenings, call us! Project Staff will determine if you are eligible for services and will connect you with a provider in your community.

Funds from the "Race for the Cure" have been given to the "A Woman First" regional project to provide financial assistance for breast diagnostic services to women and men under 40 years of age who meet qualifying guidelines. Please call the numbers listed above if you need assistance.

Did you know that 1% of all breast cancers occur in men? Komen funds are available to assist men who meet qualifying guidelines and need diagnostic services.
