Stay Tobacco-Free Athlete Mentor Program

Stay Tobacco-Free Athlete Mentor Program or STAMP, is a youth tobacco use prevention program of the American Cancer Society, Ohio Division. This program is provided to middle school students in Fulton County. Health Department health educators train tobacco-free high school students to present four educational sessions on the negative consequences of tobacco use to middle school students in their own district. Classes are designed to enhance the school's existing curriculum by emphasizing science, health and math, as well as strengthening the students' critical thinking and writing skills. Community service hours, letters of recommendation and awards are given to eligible high school mentors.
