Health Educators develop and present programming for vario
us community groups on a variety of topics including nutrition, dental health, poison prevention, stranger danger, Halloween safety, water safety, bicycle safety, and fire safety.
Popular health and safety programs include the Eating the Alphabet, Halloween Safety, Poison Prevention, Got Milk? and Safety Bingo. Eating the Alphabet introduces children to common and not so common fruits and vegetables for every letter of the alphabet. Halloween Safety reminds kids of safe rules to follow when trick-or-treating. Poison Prevention compares every day items with potentially dangerous look-a-likes. Dairy products make our bodies healthy and strong. We teach the importance through games and activitiy sheets, GOT MILK? Safety Bingo teaches children general safety tips while having fun at the same time.
