The Fulton County Family First Council (FFC) is a partnership of local government agencies and private organizations in coordination with the state government that works to streamline and coordinate services to children and families in Fulton County. The goals of the council are:
- Expectant parents and newborns thrive;
- Infants and toddlers thrive;
- Children are ready for school;
- Children and youth succeed in school;
- Youth choose healthy behaviors;
- Youth successfully transition into adulthood.
Local representation in the council consists of fifteen local government agencies or programs, parent representatives and 14 private organizations or programs. The Council also provides general oversight of the Fulton County Help Me Grow Program, Fulton County Service Coordination Mechanism, the Ohio Children's Trust Fund Programs in Fulton County.
Healthy Choices Caring Communities (HC3) is an initiative of Family and Children First Council. HC3 is made up of community agencies, organizations, parents and youth who have joined together for the purpose of developing strategies that can help in reducing underage alcohol and tobacco use in our county.
The Fulton County Health Department is responsible for the administrative and fiscal oversight of the Family First Council.
The Fulton County Family First Council meets every other month on Wednesday mornings from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Fulton County Health Department. Meetings for 2012 are:
