Home Daycare

The Fulton County Board of Health developed this program as a service to residential daycare providers. Some providers receive financial assistance from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Program toward food provided for the children under their care. These providers are required to have their homes inspected by the local Fire Department and the Board of Health.

Registered Sanitarians conduct comprehensive public health and safety inspections to assure a healthy and safe child care environment within the home. During these inspections, many public health issues are discussed and information is given to the provider. These issues include proper handwashing, food handling, and communicable disease transmission, which is often prevalent in the child care setting.

To schedule a Home Daycare inspection, please contact the Fulton County Health Department at (419) 337-0915.
