The mission of the Fulton County Board of Health's Division of Environmental Health is to "protect the public's health, prevent disease transmission, and promote a healthful environment". This mission is achieved through provision of educational materials and programs, inspections, licensing, regulation enforcement, and reporting of activities of public and private health matters to appropriate agencies. The division is involved in a wide range of programs that have the potential to impact the health and welfare of the residents of Fulton County. The programs take a close look at the food we eat, the water we drink, the soil around our homes, the disposal of wastes, and other human activities that affect the health of those around us. The Environmental Division works closely with local, municipal, township, and county officials to address the needs of their residents. The Division also works with other county, regional, statewide, and national agencies involved with public health and environmental issues that affect our residents.
