The Fulton County Health Department is governed at the local level by the Fulton County Board of Health. Board of Health responsibilities include setting policies, approving health department programs, reviewing operational data, and approving financial actions for the Department.

The Fulton County Board of Health is made up of six members appointed by the City of Wauseon, Villages and Townships, and a Licensing Council. Meetings are normally held the 1st or 2nd Monday of each month at 12 noon at the Health Department. These meetings are open to the public.
